说明:马来西亚声称拥有的大陆架边界地图的资料(2004-12-25日南沙群岛在线整理)

马来西亚于1979年出版了一张新的地图，在这张地图中马来西亚将中国南沙群岛部分岛屿列入其领土范围，而其所谓的根据就是大陆架条约。 但是，关于领土和主权，很重要的一点是陆地决定海洋，而不是海洋决定陆地。马来西亚以200海里专属经济区为依据提出对中国先有南沙群岛的主权要求， 根本站不住脚，因为中国已经拥有南沙群岛的主权，那么马来西亚就不能通过其单方面的大陆架延伸至中国南沙群岛海域。

English Description:

Before 1977, Malaysia was not among the clamants of the Nansha Islands. In 1979 Malaysia published a new map of Malaysia and included the Nansha Islands of China into its continental shelf boundaries for the first time. This unilateral claim should not be satified, since the Nansha Islands had been Chinese sovereignty before any laws regarding the continental shelf is made. Thus Malaysia's Continental Shelf Boundary cannot include the Chinese Nansha Islands and adjacent waters
